A twenty member team from Ridgecrest Baptist Church, of Madison, MS , led by Greg O’Neal, will be returning to Belize with Thirst Missions from July 8-14. Thirst Missions, based in Forest Lake, MN, is the world’s leader in providing short-term mission trips to Belize, Central America. They take care of all the logistics and planning so the group can focus on ministry and relationships.
The Ridgecrest Baptist Church team will once again be serving in the Ministerios Fuente de Vida Church. This church is in the Orange Walk District of Northern Belize. Many of the people speak Spanish, although English, the primary language of Belize, is taught in the schools. Most of the income of the community comes from growing sugarcane and farming. It is a poor area with many physical and spiritual needs. The people are hard working, loving and caring, and excited to have this mission team come again and work with them this summer.
