Willowbrook mission team serves Belize

By August 19, 2015Headlines

A 35-member team from Willowbrook Church traveled to Belize with Thirst Missions from June 16-23.

The team served in the Asambleas de Dios La Hermosa Church and School, in Santa Rita, Corozal District. Santa Rita is a small village in Northern Belize where many of the people speak Spanish and Creole, although English, the primary language of Belize, is taught in the schools.

Once in Belize, the Willowbrook team worked with various ministries. They had the opportunity to bless the community with service project work, from local cleanup to cleaning up the local school. In addition to this ministry, the team made hospital visits as well as home visits to the local community members, sharing about life in the USA, inviting them to the week’s activities, and building relationships. Sharing of their personal stories, of their faith, and of their own lives can be an encouragement to the people of Belize.
