One of our greatest goals here at Thirst Missions is to help the local church in Belize reach their community for Christ. Canyon Springs Church, one of our summer 2016 teams, hosted a meal for over 100 people followed by a “Belize Got Talent” show with music, magic, and comedy.

Belize Got Talent!

Both Americans and Belizeans participated, the church was overflowing, and after the show, the Belizean pastor brought the word. This was a great outreach! (Check out Canyon Springs’ video here—and if you’d like to hear our take on this type of outreach, check out this video.)

A Model for Outreach

canyon-springs-outreach1We’d like to see outreaches like this happen all over Belize in 2017! To that end, Thirst Missions will donate $500 to be used for outreach to any mission teams that register in September. (When you register use promo code FOOD500.) Teams can use $300 to put on a real feast for 100+ people as phase one of an amazing outreach night, and $200 for staple food for 10 needy families.

Follow up the feast with a talent show, movie night, or maybe a concert. Or host a soccer tournament before the big event. You can let your creativity take over, but whatever you do it will be a memorable night of great ministry.

If you have any questions about ministry in Belize (or Alaska or England) feel free to email us here. We’d love to send your team out for an amazing week (or more) of ministry.
